Good work Adam, are the poker nights for cash? Either way, probably best to avoid. If you find a non gambling replacement, you'll forget it in no time. Good luck mate
got a job now started yesterday and went well, will get paid weekly, which is good. Going to spend a bit of time at home and try to save some money
I actually spent 30 on fruit machine last night, a bit gutted, just saw a fruit machine put a pound in then a fiver then the rest is history.i played poker badly then went home.

I'm going to try and give the pub a miss for a bit. I think beers and pubs for me equal fruity.
went to the pub last night and didnt play on fruit machine for the first time very pleased with myself, horray. Sitting at home at the mo, got work tonight till 12 then back home and another day off tomo. been reading a lot of diarys over the last few days and heard a saying where if you put all ur problems on a pile on the table with other peoples would you happily select one from that pile. I would definitetly rather have my problems and life than somebody elses. This makes me think that im in a good position. Also read another persons diary which started back in 2008 and theyve been on here ever since. They were doing really well for eight months and it was a good read however when i fast forwarded to 2016 they had lost all their savings again and were struglling to keep afloat and not bet. This has shown me that you can go eight months without a bet and still get back into it unfortunately. I have only managed a month so far (my best), however with all the blocks ive got in place now i beleive im in a better position than when i started a year ago. I will still go to my poker but not count this as gambling towards my non betting days. I beleive that when i play poker for a fiver its the cost of a drink and is just paying for entertainment rather than gambling with the hope of making money. So this poker will cost me sixty pounds a month 12 five pounds entry fees and i will be able to see my new friends.
the thing thathelped me last night was that i decided not to drink and only took ten pounds with me 6 pounds poker and 4 pounds for two coffees, happy days 🙂
Well its been three days since betting gonna stick to alcohol as my vice now.

Apparently every ciggy u smoke takes eleven minetes off ur life, cant afford that ive been smoking since sixteen that's nineteen years average five a day say ill work it out

At the moment I will have lost 0.7 years of life thru smoking averagely. Half of people who smoke die of cancer not good toknow

I have four ciggerettes left and going to smoke them as a last resort if I have to but going to go with it new job new start new life. My new job is next to my gym so no excuses going to go

I usually have these moments of clarity then a week later go back to my old ways. I might give up the pub job as everyone smokes there and drinks a lot and I think id rather change my lifestyle and change everything. So right number one no poker nights. No poker nights mean no gambling at all so that's a big plus. No gambling since Thursday that's a big plus I'm already off the mark. New job horray. I'll just do whatever hours they give me above the twenty hour contract and pay my mortgage and rent and go to the gym and live a healthy lifestyle. I'll put six pound in a jar every day for the saving of not smoking and it can go towards a holiday in sept

so that's 20x8x4 equals640 shouldn't be much tax on that so take home 550rent three hundred, gym 54 saving for holiday 180 ooo this is gonna be tight may have to keep working at bar untill find another healthy job, ill get looking tomo night. Just don't want to work at pub as it will make me drink more, smoke and not be healthy, I will check in tomo with progress.
So its all about small achievable goals with me, I usually once a month give myself unachievable goals and don't suceed, my goal for June is to not play on a fruit machine. This for me is very difficult but I will try and stick to it.

On Thursday I will have lasted one week.

Hi Adam
What I find helps is to set milestones, for instance I have done 150 days, I have now set a target of 160 days.
Good luck and never give up giving up. You can do this!!!
