Amazing achievement Carl. Enjoy your beer mate. You deserve it. Kudos on keeping up with your training. Maybe one day I'll find the energy to start mine as well. Every Sunday I promise myself I'll start Monday :)). Have a great evening

just popping on again,

cant stop me now ive started, i was just reflecting on this journey over tea and have realised that i think my marathon training and this journey are going hand in hand. this journey has taught me for my marathon training that i need to take each mile at a time not focus on the 26th mile. and the strength i am gaining each day i dont gamble is building an inner strength to get me through the training.and the marathon training training has taught me for this journey that i need to fight and fight no matter what obstacles get in my way.

Evening Carl

Loved your last post...you go for it boy! What a fantastic way to see those challenges in your life.

Feeling so much better from the relapse and this is especially down to you and others support on here!

Keep strong Carl...we are all behind you (but I'm sorry I won't be behind you in the marathon running, i would have collapsed after a mile or so! lol)

Take care

day 79

Well its lunchtime at work and I thought I would just like to pop on and say a massive well done to flagg and everyone who took part in his 90 day challenge. Today is your day and you are all setting us newbies a fine example.

To the rest of us we will all get there too if we carry on how we are and happy gamble free Friday

its porridge and coffee time and catch up on a few diaries,

which can only mean one thing and that is its saturday, no work but my long run day. on the gambling front i have made it to another zero number, today is 80, the days seem to fly past now and racking up nicely. one thing i do now is that however long or little we all have been here its still about the day ahead, i will not be getting complacent and to help me along the way and try to reach 3 figures i have joined up for flaggs next instalment of challenge.

Hi Carl,

Huge well done on reaching 80 days. Not sure if you have attended GA or considered it but regardless they see 90 days as a real milestone and you are very close now. You have done this by having the right attitude to recovery. We need to be committed and this site can help us maintain focus.

Brilliant to see the running going well. I have been mixing the 'Insanity' workout with my running and I have seen some huge benefits from this. Like you say sometimes it's about pushing yourself because once out there it's more than worth the effort.

Great to see you join the thread too. At the end of that thread you will have almost doubled your current day count. Quite an incentive!

Take Care,

Flagg
