Hello Mrs D...
Saturday: Got up, walked the mutt, went to the auction! I had a few bits of tut that I inherited & are destined for a life of cobwebs in the loft @ mine & I was hoping to get shot of them. After an hour, with pretty much everything going for a tenner or unsold, my hopes of being a millionaire fading, I gave it up as a bad job & left - Wondering why when they make £6.49 on everything sold for under £30 & then a % over that, the building looks like it could fall down @ any minute! I went to speak to reception about my possible fees & as I leaned 2 press my ear to the glass so I could hear her (what is it with sulky 12 year olds working on receptions), she made no effort to get any closer, telling me I had to get there between 11 & 3 today! Turns out I must have missed the 1st half of the conversation as it was 0930-1130 (if only I'd read my piece of paper) so not only could I potentially owe them £19.47 I may have to pay theft insurance charges now :-0 Lets hope they hit that magical tenner & instead of being out of pocket I'll be £10.53 in credit! That could make up for the £4 wasted on the lottery! Finally Mr Gamble has deserted me & without him whispering sweet nothings in my ear/reminding me to fight I found myself buying tickets without thinking! Needless to say, I could have bought a lot of Galaxy Ripples with that & will be more conscious in the future!
It was a bit of a revelation but I finally figured out yesterday that I don't actually need to go out when I have a day off! The realisation that the way to stop stressing about the state of the house was to clean it was a step too far (I think you all know my thoughts on cleaning) & just to avoid being home with that playing on my mind today, I shot out this morning after walking the mutt! I have been taking the lazy option with him recently going to the little park with a ball & a wanger & throwing it repeatedly until his tongue hits the floor!
Sunday: Today I ventured up to the big park & it was a dog fest! It got me wondering what all these dogs that I've never seen before were doing all winter,...hibernating I guess!
Anyway, I now find myself sat in the car park of a retail park, scared of going shopping?!? I have money, I need new underwear (Bridget Jones style of course) & yet I can't bear the thought of parting with my cash! Mr Gamble, I know you're in there somewhere messing with my head but my money is no longer gambling tokens so spend it I will! Good day to you!
Junnnieeee
It's funny isn't it that when we have money to spend (on well needed underwear lol, even be it Bridget Jones HD I don't think HD.
That horrible addiction does not want us to spend a penny on anything but that. It's ridiculous I know but it messes with our mind, even more so when we have available cash to spend on normal real life stuff.
.Keep telling Mr gamble where to go ( back into oblivion ) you are not the slightest bit interested no matter what.
Well done girl, keep choosing no and keep winning, walking right along side of you in all weathers,

😀 everyone welcome
Later gator and very well done on your continued fight against the evil!!
Your doing great! 🙂
Hi ODAAT. Loved your story about the auction. Stuff dont sell as they used to. Even going to the car boot. I nearly have to pay people to take my stuff away!!! They try to haggle even if things cost only £1 !! Anyway you are doing brilliant . I'm very proud of you 235 days is amazing.
Galaxy ripples are yummy!
Our old gambling minds are always going to be there, its just keep them dormant , thoughts are natural, but its blocking our actions thats the key!
Keep strong.
Ummmmmm hi! 😉
What are ya doing on on page 3?
Just dropping by to say huge well done on another day of winning..straightforward way to claim your life back - recovery 🙂 HD
Keep at it and never stop kicking where it hurts the most. Mr G more than deserve that!
