Hi Junie fare plays to you hitting the gym, just make s me tired thinking about it! Thanks for your posts and 290 days is fantastic keep it going , life is so much better without Mr Gamble !
Ok, so there's a man clipping his nails in the seat behind me on the train :-0 I can see in the window it's a regular pair of nail clippers which means that the nails are flying everywhere (GROSS)! He must have about 50 fingers because it has been going on an excessive amount of time & one person has already changed seats! I honestly thought that there was nothing more disgusting than someone sat opposite me eating with their mouth open but I am truly disgusted 🙁 There are sweet wrappers & empty drink cartons strewn on the floor as well as littered over the seats...Right next to a bin! I guess the dirty sod figured a few nail clippings added to the mess wouldn't hurt...I make no apology for this, if any of you on here are litterbugs, please, enough!
Thanks for the lovely advice (you know who you are) but I value my liberty & despite my fist telling me it would like to connect with his nose, my head is saying "probably not the best bit of advice you've ever been given!"
I have vented & now I am breathing, in for 7 out for 11...I am not going to let him ruin an otherwise positive day of winning!
Nite Mrs D
Ohhh...sorryyyy! It was just an initial reaction i would of had (not proud and i admit), i can suggest ya to keenly collect his "leftowers" in a little bag you find amongst the other litter, put a bow on it and keep it for yourself as a lovely reminder to change seats next time!! 😀
I can think of conversations gal, just not sure you would understand :-))))) ...weather it is, followed with another million of others, you're great person to talk to and the laugh is just infectious 😀 ...so everyone knows it's not only on these pages 😉
Of course ya not nagging...hmmmmm...."drink less coffee and more bleugh"...yep, i would think twice too lol
Good to see ya navigating another day safely! Keep going gal - one day at a time..proud of you!!!!!!!!
Coo coo
Hey ODAAT thanks for your recent post and support on my diary don't get on here as often these days but will always be on this diary your posts are always entertaining you sound so much fun to be around.
Carry on enjoying your life and keep fighting off Mr g
Hey Junie, glad to see its not only me who gets 'worked up' at the behaviour of some people...my personal bugbear is the BBC..breakfast buffet contaminator, he's the one (it's generally men) who walks straight in the buffet (no hand sanitizer required) handles several plates untill he finds one 'his temperature' walks along the line in the wrong direction (no queuing required) picking up his sausages, bacon, mushrooms ect till he reaches the omelette station, he then wants everything the chef has to offer included in said omelette..whilst waiting for this he then endeavours to start eating his bacon sausage ect with his hands..omelette cooked (no tip required) he then heads for the bread station where he searches the bread basket for a roll he likes the colour, texture or seeds of (no tongues required) no joy there so he then takes two slices of bread from the middle of the loaf and loads them into the revolving toaster..plop plop two slices drop out..they can't be mine he says to himself that's far too quick whilst looking around like an on edge meerkat, throwing them to one side denies all knowledge when 'toaster poster' returns to collect..plop plop his toast appears..not done enough for him no time to wait and send them round again decides to leave them there and take a roll after all..returns to his table with what's left of his breakfast (he's eaten most of it) raising his hand for the attention of the waitress (no tip required) for more coffee, he then departs leaving 3 croissants and 2 cakes behind which he liked the look of but his eyes were bigger than his belly ....c****n 🙁
moan over I'm gonna be presumptuous and wish you happy 300 for Friday ODAAT, course your gonna make it coz you 'choose not to loose' i wouldn't want to miss your big milestone, I'm in early coz I'm getting me clogs on for a week in Holland with all the family HD'S indeed..overnight ferry tonight..my daughters ordered breakfast for us all, just hope I don't bump into 'the c****n' 😉
have a great week juuuune... OAU ...the Ginger one
Hi ODAAT
Thanks for your comment on my list yesterday. Tomorrow I'm going to get passport pics took and get myself excluded from the 6 bookies that are one mile away from my house.
I've been reading your diary today. The support and encouragement you give people on here is amazing. I bet you have saved a few lives just with your kind words.
293 days well done.
Hey ODAAT thanks for your post on my diary and pleased to repay the favour cos you have me in stitches all the time.
Unfortunately my man came up a tad short but my second choice prevails
Have a great weekend
Hi!
Thanks for the :-)))))))))
So good to see you marching on and winning every day. Your question of " ar meskos sika miske?" still keeps raising that smile lol...d**n, did i just put it in Lithuanian? :-))
Some homework for you then!
Ciao amigo!
Now I know that certain pizza shops use nuclear reactors rather than ovens but I just can't help myself but tuck in to their speciality garlic pizza bread immediately (sometimes even, depending on how many metres away I have been forced to park from the shop, before I have even made it to the car)! I attempted a one handed 3 point turn (not as easy as it looks) & got away with a 7 🙁 as I carefully blew on the bread before taking a chunk! All manner of burns (including one on my chin from a wayward piece of cheese that managed to abseil my face) later, I arrived home with an empty garlic bread box & 2 slices missing from my pizza, no longer hungry, with a smile on my face! Now what does this have to do with gambling I hear you ask...Well, said pizza shop is roughly half way between my house & the next village! A place I frequented for a few weeks (before excluding) for the late evening desperate attempts to get rich! Invariably, I'd drop in to the pizza place on the way back from said attempt, very far from rich, feeling sad & alone & realising that I hadn't eaten properly that day! I didn't deserve a pizza but I could just about justify some garlic bread & invariably the burns that accompanied it! Funny (but not funny ha ha), they were always more painful then too!
Just goes to show, recovery does indeed make us stronger, in more ways than one! Still working on my patience - ODAAT
Hey ODAAT,
Just 2 days til the big 300 🙂
I totally get what you mean about the feelings you experience when re-visiting places you used to frequent pre-abstainance. A similar experience happened to me today too. I'd hesitate to call it a nostalgic feeling, more of a somewhat surreal flashback, I can imagine the mixture of emotions you must have been feeling. Something only us recovering from this addiction can lay a finger on explaining.
Thankyou for your post on my thread earlier this week. Stay strong. Do you have anything planned for day 300? A small treat for yourself maybe?

Hi Junniee,
The Recovery journey certainly does make us see life in a total different light, it's quite an amazing journey, to find out about ourselves.
I too have to work with patience, HDs but look at you 2 days from an amazing 300 days of starving Mr Gamble, You are doing simply great.
Keep going slowly but surely OAU, and keep winning in every way.
Blondieexxxx
Morning Junniee,
Thanks for your ongoing support, no matter how long we abstain, I think that Mr Gamble will always be there somewhere, just patiently waiting lol, and we are not very patient, what a paradox, but we are winning in every way so HDs indeed, I feel so laid back since my holiday, it's not normal, I guess it's another phase of my recovery, so am very aware of my new feelings.
Have a great gambling free day.
Blondiee xxx
Now then Juuune 🙂
Are ya still chomping on that pizza? 😀 i love your diet, really do, i think that's why i start having full English breakfast at midnight lol
Keep on keeping on...never mind the sunset - need to wait for sunrise first 😉
While I'm here...and since I'm not patient at all, i wanted to do a little sing along and dance for your upcoming 300 days in few hours time 🙂
So tra la la la ...keep it up and and be sooooo proud of yourself!
Mr G is past now and as we both know, past is history, ..today is a GIFT and tomorrow is mystery...so why not to stick with today..yep yep, that's more than anyone could ask for! 😉

Garlic bread eh. According to some, it's the future you know! Lol ;0)
Well, I'm just enjoying the last evening of my short half term break and thought that I'd pop in and be the first to congratulate you on your 300 days without gambling. Have to admit that I am a tad off the pace with the recovery diary section these days, but yours is one of the diaries that I look for when I do occassionally drop in.
Keep doing the right thing.....
We can beat this, because recovery is possible you know!
Ade
P.s: Pull your finger out on Words with friends will ya!! Lol
