Hello everyone.

After my first post yesterday today was day 1 of my gambling ban, ignore my profile is says I'm gambling free for over 1000 days, I wish.

Gamban on phone and computer and I'm trying to sort gamstop but having difficulty with gamstop accepting me. I'm going to ring them to sort that.

So I'm probably going to do a video diary aswell. Ive been watching one on you tube for a guy called Andy and wow what an inspiration.

So yeah today wasn't so bad I managed to watch tv without wanting to gamble and managed to get a few jobs done around the house which is good coz they past few days all ive done is sit on my phone and throw money away. I lost 4.5k in one day this week. I cant afford to lose that, what a waste.

Also set myself up with the local recovery programme and I'm going to a GA meeting Monday. its the first step but hopefully the most important one.

hi Antony and welcome, 4.5k blimey that's what gambling takes from us!. Good news is if ur anything like me once u stop gambling the financial side literally is the complete opposite as we are so used to spending literally nothing on ourselves. So good luck mate u can do this! I'll keep an eye on ur diary, adam

Hi ant thanks for sharing and i wish you every success in your road to recovery.

I lost a similar amount to you over the past week so i know the emotions your going through.

For me i was gf for 2 years but relapsed at the start of April and it is a spiral that you dont have control of. Anything i did be it work, gym, spend time with my wife seemed insignificant...i was just living for the next bet.

You are taking the right steps and you will be a better person for it.
