Day 92,
Reality check last night. Talking to my wife about our finances. We were thinking about utilising our available ISA allowances for this tax year and thinking about the next one. I guess I dropped it on her as I had been thinking things through. She has a decent amount of savings in her name. She is always telling me how although this money is in her name it is our money. I suggested that to get the best returns on this money we put it in our own individual ISAs. She doesn't want to do this as she can't trust me financially yet. I can't really blame her but it did feel like a kick in the teeth. The whole trust thing is going to take a long time to repair. I havn't helped myself as in December I began putting £50 a month into a fund for our children. I wanted to give her a positive financial surprise for once and show her the account once it had reached £1000 but it came out during our talk yesterday and she feels once again that I have been keeping things from her.
Although I am feeling pretty low today I will not gamble.

Hey Dave, my OH doesn't totally trust me with money and why should he, when I can't trust myself:))
Take it on board. My friend, and think positive, it is an extra barrier, to keep us safe.
Looking forward to your red balloons flying by:))
Keep strong and extra positive.

Day 97,
Came to a compromise with my wife re finances that we are both happy with. I've put some money into my ISA from our joint funds. Now I need to make sure that this money is never touched so that I can prove myself. We can then review it before the end of the next financial year. So determined to do it this time!
Best wishes to all.
Dave
Keep going Dave, keep strong and keep looking ahead:))
