Hi Triangle

Would you be able to tell us a little more about your gambling habits? Was it in bookies or online? FOBTs? How long you been gambling? What has brought you here?

Hope you hang around long enough to give yourself the chance to live a better life than the one you had with gambling

Take care

Hello! Thanks for the post on my diary. I agree about trying something new and needing help with this addiction. I'm not ready to admit defeat in the real world so hoping that being more active on here and taking part in the challenge thread will give me the support I need. Hoping I can help others along the way so stop by my diary any time. Take care.

Triangle, get to a GA meeting asap mate, I doubt just coming on here can help you stop alone, you need as much support as possible in the early days especially.

Find your nearest meeting and just go, its not as bad you probably expect

Good luck pal

thanks half life

yes i have many of the blocks in place

handed over my money and it gets checked online

self exclusions as well although easy to get around but least they are there

my most important blocker is reminding myself i have a problem which i know from the past doesn't go away overnight

thanks

Triangle I did the same, I went for about 6 weeks, stopped felt fine, did 20 months gamble free (have a look at my diary I started yesterday) then I had a relapse at xmas

Gone back to GA with tail between my legs 2 weeks ago, I know exactly what you mean about not being sure you want to go back, but If you REALLY want to stop, please go back it will help and you are going to need all the help you can get right now

They aren't pleasant at first but a d**n sight more pleasant than gambling your life away.

Don't make excuses mate, just go!!!
