48 weeks!!!!!! Awesome Irene. Good idea with the exercise plans, something I need to get back to but have yet to find the energy or will lol. Great to have you back on board for the thread. I'm glad the last one could help and I hope the new one can do just the same, keep you focused. Your doing bloody brilliant and it's great that you are still focused and you know what you want and more importantly your getting it to. Keep it up its inspiring to read.

Day 338

Well, the exercise is planned for this week.....still not faced up to doing my early morning gym sessions lol. Its sooooo depressing- going out and its dark....coming home in the dark.

Gamble free and really not troubled by urges nor thought much about slots.

Bad news on the financial front- washing machine's packed in, which has reinforced how vulnerable I've left myself financially, however, I'll get there đŸ™‚

Just paid someone to plumb in my new washing machine, it was only delivered six months ago after all. Starting to get my life organised and have taken over from family sorting my heating etc so hopeful of a warm snuggly winter with less stresses to trigger the beasties.

Son started new job this week, one less thing to worry about, don't know what I would do if all my worries were zapped as it would be such a weird new experience.

Have a lovely weekend.

Hi Irene.... great to see that your still one week ahead of me. I shall of course continue to check that your maths is correct on a regular basis! đŸ˜‰

I understand the financial stress when living on a tight budget. Many a time something just like a broken washing machine would send me straight to gambling.. to win a new one of course! It never worked out that way did it, just another excuse to gamble of course!!

You know yourself how well your doing. Keep chipping away at them debts, that's all that matters. take care... S.A đŸ™‚

As always, thanks for the support x

Day 342

Today's been a good one- early start for me. I've just enjoyed a wee stint in the "chat" room where I've managed to offload some of my feelings. For me, the combination of the folk on chat and on here offer invaluable support and advice.

I'm finding my thinking a bit strange. I cant seem to avoid thinking about gambling (not fondly!)....my mind seems to wander along strange routes. The money connection for me is an obvious trigger for gambling thoughts but I had to unpick a bit to work out how I got from mind numbing kitchen cleaning to venomously hating and cursing the folk who invented online slots!! (it did result in a sparkling kitchen floor lol).

I have never blamed anyone/thing for my gambling- its my issue/problem and not the fault of bookies/casinos or anyone else (although the aggressive marketing is irritating) so I'm a bit perplexed at how this came about.

I had the opportunity today to find out more about 12 step programme.....still not my "thing" entirely but I wonder if its making me think?

I am so pleased that slots or any gambling is DEFINITELY NOT appealing to me today.

surely 'not appealing'? Or, did I read it wrongly?

Realised my last entry in your diary was all about me and wanted to say sorry and explain that I think it is because I identify so much with you and your daily stresses with keeping a home going and worrying about family.

Interesting also as you said in my diary about when the thoughts attack, when we are driving, cleaning etc, times when it can be difficult to sideswipe them as though the brain knows that and creeps in the cracks.

Also read the 'appealing' bit but just smiled and added the NOT in my head as know how determined you are this time.

Many more good days to come.

xxx

Thanks Milkman/DF

day 343=49 weeks

Oh what a numpty am I???? Apologies to anyone who read my diary....I made a huge blunder in yesterday's post.

If anyone notices me making mistakes, I do hope they point them out......I really really do not think fondly of the time I spent gambling and the consequences have been negative for me......it is in no way appealing and has not been for several months.

Today's been great- a million miles away from "that" Sunday 49 weeks ago. Went for lunch with my son and we chatted amiably, we then visited my sis together and laughed as a family should.
