Sharon Super Star 639 days gamble free. Hope you are having a good weekend.
Angel number 639 reminds you that the past is over and you should take comfort and be proud of all that you have achieved. You were caught up in the gambling madness but came to your senses and vowed to put an end to it.
Since that very first day of recovery you have stood up for yourself and behaved with honour and integrity. Even on those days when you were plagued by negative thoughts and emotions you have shown courage, wisdom and understanding.
You listened to your heart and continued to believe in yourself. You are indeed a heroine and a true gamcare warrior who I am proud to call my friend...stephen x

Hi Sharon, hope you are happy and keeping well. I just looked at your profile page and the 678 days gamble free looks absolutely awesome. I am so proud of you and full of admiration and respect for all your hard work.
Thank you for visiting my diary earlier. In my profile picture I was wearing a mankini and hope you were not too offended. I have since given it to the charity shop and put it down to a midlife crisis.
I am wishing that everything goes well for you this year and that you enjoy peace, happiness and fun because you deserve it... stephen x
Hello Sharon. Hope you are well and enjoying the chilly weekend. Thank you for visiting my diary. I greatly appreciate your support and encouragement.
I look to the success of friends like yourself and it reminds me that recovery is possible if I am prepared to work hard on it and show some courage and conviction.
I am now on a mission to remain gamble free and I will not let anything bar my way. Gamble free mountain here I come.
Take care, Stephen x
Thanks for your kind words as always Stephen. I don't post much now but do check in to the forum every day. It keeps me on the right road but it does remind me and sadden me on how gambling can so easily grab you and turn your life upside down. I have realised more and more that I came so close to losing everything and have wasted so much time and money. But the moment you decide to stop that's when your door to freedom is unlocked. I never want to go back to being trapped in the gambling cycle and experience the awful feelings involved. Let's Stay GF, be the people we want to be and live the lives we want to live, Take care S 🙂
I love that last post Sharon. It made me feel happy and sad at the same time.
It saddens me that when people are trapped in the gambling cycle they can lose everything. As you rightly say, it just grabs people and turns their lives upside down.
What makes me happy though is the realisation that we can walk away from gambling and live happy, meaningful lives.
You wrote: "But the moment you decide to stop that's when your door to freedom is unlocked."....."Let's stay GF, be the people we want to be and live the lives we want to live."
You have a lot of understanding of what we are all up against plus you have the courage to stand up for what you believe is right. I sincerely hope I can follow your excellent example. In the past I have been weak and foolish but this time I am going fight the horrible addiction with everything I've got...Stephen x
Hi Sharon. Hope your having a good weekend.
I don't like wishing my life away but I will be glad when summer arrives. It can get a bit chilly up north.
By not gambling and saving a few pennies I could move down to the south coast. It is always a few degrees warmer and than I could go for nice walks by the sea.
Now that is a good incentive for me to not gamble.
I am very pleased and full of admiration for your excellent progress. You are approaching 700 days GF which is just wonderful....Stephen x
Hi Stephen, all good thanks although am realising I possibly work too many hours snl need to get s better work/life balance. Possibly I am subconsciously punishing myself for the years that I burnt up all my money on gambling, I try not to think about it too much but I guess it happens. Indeed some warmth and sunshine would be good! Hope you're having a super weekend, take care S x
Congratulations Sharon on 700 Days Gamble Free.
I just read your post from day 1 when you had just set off on your journey of recovery. Although you were hopeful and determined, you were also a little frightened, apprehensive and at times overcome with sadness. You are indeed a very courageous lady.
I have been listening to free music on Spotify and have just enjoyed listening to the 4 songs entitled "700 days." I particularly liked the version by "Vague Vendetta" because I am in a bit of a rocking mood. Later on I will have a good listen to "Jef Jon Sin" whose version is quite philosophical and discusses leaving things behind and making sacrifices.
Thank you for the support and encouragement you have always given me. My dream is to follow your wonderful example.
I wish you every happiness as you continue on your journey ...Stephen x
