Hi all. Iv finally come clean. Iv racked up debts of 74k . Iv only come clean cos iv lost everything and can get no more credit. I do now believe it had to get to this point for me to come clean. Or id still be at it. Was the hardest thing having to tell my partner. It’s 100% my fault but I feel massively let down by the banks how they have freely let me borrow this amount of money with hardly any questions! And make thousands of transactions through one bank account! I’m currently complaining to the bank, see what they have to say then take it to the financial ombudsman. I’m currently going through and Iva to try and sort it all out.Â
was telling my partner how it’s so wrong there’s so many people in my situation with and addiction and it’s widely advertised all over the tv / radio. It’s like advertising drugs in my eyes. This is the first week of no gambling in years . I seem to be seeing thing clearer and hope it had to come to this to realise I will never gamble againÂ
Welldone for reaching out has u said u hit your limit and for alot of people that is the only way the banks do have a responsibility surely shopping addiction/spending addiction doesnt fall in the same category as gambling addiction yet i have seen those people get refunds from banks some people here are against the idea of refunds as it could be a trigger to gamble the way i see it if u are getting the support the banks do have a duty of care i was in debt for a short time all it did was cause me stress the main thing i had enough of the addiction and i was willing to take the right steps i am 3+ years clean and life is great
