Good evening all.
So today is day 9 gamble free,but I did something I genuinely did not believe I would have the strength to fully commit to, I closed/excluded the one remaining account, all others are closed and all networks excluded from, but this last one was my "a small deposit at the end of this month will be just for fun"Â But please let me tell you how that small deposit goes, it loses ,no problem its only small i can easily win it back, then very soon all my wages are gone, then i need to pawn items and borrow money, now next payday i have to pay out hundreds to payback borrowed money and pawn shop interest ,so half my wages just went on paying back the last,I know this because i lived this month in month out ,year in year out, a relentless money draining ,life destroying empty existence.
Closing that last account tells me ,"Rob you are actually doing this you actually want to stop gambling and you are fully commiting to it"
As a gambler I would say I wont to stop,never again ,always after a big loss, then a week later it fades, I am on day 9 gamble free, I know it is 1 day at a time, but I have put in blocks this time.

Well done Robert ! That's a massive step forward to put the addiction back another step. I can empathise with you that the brain always says you can control this and just have another bet
Have you tried GA and the chatrooms ? It helps to talk to other gamblers especially ones who have years of GF behind them who can offer some amazing advice, help and supportÂ
