With out a doubt a supportive partner and family, is the half battle I'm in a similar lucky situation and yes it really helps a lot and the help and support I get from here not only with my gambling problem is just amazing. But also and this what nobody can do for you, you took it on to turn your life arround and you doing very good.

thanks for all the support. I am so pleased I managed to find a great website dedicated to Gambling. I am able to be open with my problems and not keeping it in. I spoke to my Dad and Step-Mum the other day, and things ended up being cold. I was sort of expecting them to support me by saying "things will get better" but instead it was the opposite. No support from them at all. Even my Mum and Step-Dad have been so supportive, and I cant thank them enough. I am owing my Mum back with all the money she has had to fork out. My bills are now getting paid on time. I have written them on my calander and diary when they have to be paid. Even my Husband reminds me too.

Hi emb30 - Sounds as if you are really getting to grips with your debt management - well done.

As for the disappointing response from your Dad and Stepmother, well just let it go - no use fretting about it, and you do have the support of those closest to you which must be a blessing. Keep going - you can do it!
