Welcome to the other side Pete,

Have you thought about joining the 100 day challenge or The 2017 challenge? Both good to give you something to focus on

How's it going so far ?

No bets so its going well. Have had enough of being a puppet ruled by gambling. Gambling affects everything...you dont sleep or eat properly..you hide and you are always broke!
Id happily do 100 days challenge. I gambled probably every day of 2017 up until march 17th so the 2017 one is out.
How you getting on deano?

The doom and gloom feeling is starting to lift...only been clear less than a week but it proves theres hope.
Il just keep my head down and work away at my debts and theyll clear. Its important to get the repayments right....you dont wanna be leaving yourself too short in that life becomes too difficult..strike a balance.

Still being strong. Off the bet. Long road ahead. Take it in mini steps. Not checking results or taking much interest in my beloved sport.

Gambling bye bye my old friend

Still NO betting and its really tough at the moment. Dreaming constantly about it! As you all know...big sporting weekend coming up so gonna be tough to avoid a bet but the rewards of not doing a bet are greater!

Hi Peter, keep strong and keep remembering how far you've come already.

It's not unusual to get urges within the first few weeks in particular. You'll be feeling more relaxed and your mind will now be saying, go on you've done enough to prove you can stop, so why not just have a small bet.

This is your first real test and by now of course if you're serious about stopping you should have blocks in place to stop those urges becoming a reality. If you haven't you need them in place straight away.

The urges never fully go away, but they do become less and easier to overcome. The more blocks you have in the place, the easier it is to fight them off.

Don't let all your hard work go to waste.

Well done for staying strong! ! My motto today is don't look back as forward is the way we are travelling. Although I must admit last night I couldn't stop thinking about how different things would be if I hadn't started gambling 🙁 but I can't change the past but can make sure the future is different. Take care S
