Hi Everyone
So despite being clean for over a month, temptation got me and once again I find myslef having lost money. As ever I was a tidy sum up (£700) but just couldn't stop. For some reason I kept pressing the enter button on the slots and couldn't stop even though my brain was saying otherwise. So that's another site self excluded!!
I know I don't need gambling, but for some reason I get drawn in. Just £100 on the footie will be fine. Then I find myself depositing more and more!
This has to be my last attempt to stop. I need to get clean and stop for good. Why can I go a month, 2 or more and then get sucked back in. Why don't I just come on here instead?
Back to day 1, back to the drawing board. Back to trying to become a better person!
Goodnight all.
Hi Chirst21, Thanks for sharing.
You dont need gambling. No one does; - except the gambling companies.
Well done for acknowledging your problem. - Thats always the first step. Next step is building a plan to combat it. and finally implementing it.
remember that marketing adverts and campaigns are designed and developed to tempt you in so there is pyscology that goes into the adverts... so, its not entirely fair on yourself to think negatively about yourself. I personally found self-exclusion doesnt work as there are plenty of other sites to go on. Best bet is to download one of the blocking softwares available. I found the best one to be Gamban ( www.gamban.com ) as it works and is cheap. Once you've got your prevention, work out what you are going to do with your newly acquired free time. - take up a hobby, go to the gym, focus on being a "better person"/improving/ investing in you. You are a good person, and you will win through, you just need to focus.
Affected by gambling?
