Quick check in on day 121, no bets and no urges. Works stressful at the mo as being in charge has made me mr bad guy to my colleagues. Not so easy to be friends and then be over them and making changes that mean they can't get away with all the skiving they used to get away with. I guess I'm not there to make friends and this promotion betters my future prospects so its a big plus. Just got to keep plodding on!
hello phil

How we getting on mate?
Hi
Phil
Sorry to hear of the relapse. It was coming wasnt it, i think you have recognized that. Same patterns reforming, old habits coming back. For me its acknowledging the urges we get & why they are there, what problem are they trying to get addiction to solve for me that is the key. When we push those urges away with other distractions they fester in the back of our minds gradually becoming stronger until the urge becomes overpowering. The only way to stop the urges building up a head of steam is to confront them as soon as they arise. Do not push them away or try to drown them out. Ask them what they want why are they there

Hi Phil,
Hope you are well. Have neglected my diary for a while as life got a little on top of me. Like, you, I have sailed a little close to the wind but still gamble free.
Let me know how you get on. Never got a chance to speak to you about St Helens or those great programmes.
Best
Mark
