I have not had a bet today off since my last post.

Thanks Rob I put a shout out to 3 and just you can back. I suppose one out of three ain't bad. I think you have some really good support and great feedback which hopefully will help you try to figure out where to go next.

As for me I had a good start to the day one of the lads at work got the bacon butties in for all I accepted it reluctantly because the only reason he bought them was that he had a win overnight on some us baseball games. From some topper in Twitter he only put a few quid on. does he have a problem maybe not yet but in time it may progress that way he lnowd all about me and what damage it can cause. I've had a chat with him and warned him of the signs

Top performer again in work so finished early for the second day in a row. came home was locked out but just sat in the garden waiting for my mum to get back watching a pair of great t**s flying in and out of the bird box feeding their young, they work so hard must of been in and out 29 times each in an hour. It's really nice and peaceful just watching them get on with our lives they will soon be fledgling and going out to begin their lives I will miss them when they go and it's the only pair of t**s I have seen in awhile.

Hiya

Not quite a meatloaf song then which has its upside as I like to murder that song on karaoke.

Your post about watching the t**s in the back garden reminded me alot of dragonfly and her posts. Her posts and descriptions of the wildlife she encountered on her canal boat always calmed me.

Hi Oldham, had a good laugh at the pair of great t**s lol!

Thanks for the comments on my diary. I must admit it was reading your diary that convinced me to give GA a go. I always told myself before I didn't need it and somehow it wouldn't work for me but after seeing how much it's helping you I had to give it a go. I'm so glad I did so thanks for that.

I text my ex this morning about possibly doing something together along with the little guy like going to the park sometime. No reply as of yet but we'll see what happens.

You sound upbeat right now which is great! Keep up the good work also as I'm sure the bosses will be noticing your productivity!

Just spent the last few hours watching the great t**s fly the next 4 successful fly offs one not so lucky and is hopping about on the floor does not look well the mother came back and give it what felt like a last meal she's not been back for over an hour. So want to pick it up and see if I can help, don't want to interfere with nature and what could I do in any case.

Going to miss my feather titted friends Ive spent hours in the garden over the last few weeks watching them do their thing losing myself in my thoughts it's been quite peaceful and therapeutic.

KTF I have in this little one fly little bird fly.

Thanks Martin! Only 100 odd days behind you 🙂 Seriously, I am v. proud of myself, and my only thoughts of gambling are when I come on here, so I fully understand people wanting to leave it behind - we do after all live in a land of free choice thankfully. How are things on the home front? I hope you got to spend some time with your little man this weekend, my 'little' man started his first job yesterday, he'll be flying the nest before you know it so make the most of your boy while you can.

I've just realised, by the time I reach your day count, you'll be at a year or more - that's something to celebrate, get planning now!

Anyway, thanks for the drop by, always appreciated Martin!

Ive not had a bet today or since my last post.

Well the feathered friends have flown the nest we saw 4 fly off which was great to see on the downside the one we found on the floor never got the strength to fly off, it just didn’t seen strong enough and after about 2 hours of waiting his mother never came back so we popped him in a shoebox tried to find a few grubs for him but he didn’t last long and know is buried in the garden with a twig cross in the garden. I am really going to miss them in the garden, I used to nip out for a smoke and still be there 2 hours later watching them fly in and out with the caterpillars hearing the chicks get all excited when food arrived. I’m going to get a webcam for next year. I even named the Mum and Dad this year Lefty and Righty.

Had a good few days with my lad this weekend had him from Saturday till he went to school this morning. He is turning into a cracking lad not that he wasn’t before but he is just getting a bit older and really developing a sense of humour.

We didn’t spend time in each time in each other’s pocket watched a few films, he helped cook a meal half the time he spent with his mates it was just good to be under the same roof, our roof for a few days rather than me being there overnight and getting off in the morning or him coming round to mine chilling in my bedroom which isn’t designed for 2 of us.

GA tonight looking forward to it sent a couple of texts this week to congratulate a couple of guys on hitting their 90 days. I think we might have a couple of new ones tonight, they turned up last week but it was the open meeting so I only got to briefly speak with them at the end of the meeting. Be good if they comeback, not sure if it’s a good or bad thing turning up for your first meeting and it being and open meeting, you get to hear some great therapies but you don’t get to offload all your troubles, and for me that felt like a huge weight had been lifted when I unloaded.

Pushed one of my boundaries today something I do every year, lots of people rave about red wine, stilton cheese and coffee, I don’t like any of them. The idea is my taste buds will mature into them I’ve been doing this for at least 10 years I did have a little break through with red wine earlier in the year. I wasn’t daft and waited till I went to my brothers who spends a few quid on a bottle definitely more than the fiver I would and it was ok, I drank a glass and didn’t screw my face up. Well today was the turn of Coffee, it wasn’t quite as successful in fact I’m no further along in my quest to like coffee, it just smells and tastes all wrong, don’t get it, I might give it another go and actually get a decent cup rather than a 20p from the machine at work, that might have been the reason I enjoyed the red wine, I might just have expensive taste.

No, no & no...Red/white cans of fizzy, Edam & hot chocolate is what it's all about 🙂 We've got people with expensive taste @ work...Turn their nose up @ the free ones coz they'd rather waste a weeks wages buying them from a 'proper shop' but I reckon if you chucked a cheapy one into a posh cup they'd glug it down! Watched a couple of snobs save hundreds over Christmas with some Aldi Cava that won a taste test, made me chuckle, I mean it wasn't even Asda 😉

P.s: Cheers for the info...Dan had enlightened me 🙂 It's on record & I'm gonna give it a watch when I get home.

Payday today and decided to nip out for a few pints on a school night to celebrate do the first time in in forever that I have money left from my last wage things are getting better financially I ain't rich but the major debts have gone just the mortgage and and a long term loan which is upto date.

Nice and quiet in the pub only a dozen in but nice just to be having a pint in my own company.

Hi Martin,

Hope all is ok with you, you've been uncharacteristically quiet this past week. Everything's coming up rosy for you by the look of it. Keep at it my friend!

Not posted for nearly 2 weeks that’s the longest by far that if not posted. No reason just nothing to report all going well just getting on with life.

I went out on Saturday for my mates girlfriend birthday had a good day out, even got chatting with a girl and got on really well nothing happened, I think I bottled it, the signs seemed to be there but its been 20 odd years since I’ve been looking for the signs so didn’t trust myself to follow through, maybe try and tag along with my mate and his girl the nest time they go out see if it was just my imagination or if they could be something worth pursuing. Not sure if I bottled it or was just not ready but was kicking myself a bit yesterday. Had to leave early to look after the lad and she seemed disappointed I was going might have a chat to mate later this week,
