96 days now thanks Suzanne.
100 days ain't far now. Had a nice relaxing weekend away.
Need to pay off the holiday this week too. All things possible now without gambling. Good to be able to do these things !
97 days. 100 days will coincide with my first trip to the seaside and the arcades will be tempting. But I've decided I will resist.
Apart from anything else I don't have enough money to waste on stupid slots anymore.
We will have a nice trip away and I won't gamble.
99 days .... Trip to seaside for the first time since I quit tomorrow.
There's a compulsory walk through the arcade to get to the club on the camp site. Plus the kids will no doubt be wanting to indulge. I know it will be testing for me but got to remember I'm celebrating 100 days and mustn't let myself down with wasting a penny on the slots. I win by abstaining.
Well done on upcoming 100 in few minutes 🙂
You will keep winning by abstaining 😉 look at tomorrow as another day in recovery...something what outweighs the temptations...
Be proud, celebrate YOUR little victory..you're worth it ☺
Upwards and unwards

Onwards & upwards - ODAAT
Welcome to the 100 club Claire, your hard work is working, because this is a great milestone to reach and a massive achievement.
Have a lovely time at the coast and just bypass those slots, because they simply are a waste of time, money and life.
Be very proud.

Well done Claire
Keep enjoying recovery... makes me annoyed how the gambling industry tries to brainwash the good people of this country that gambling is fun and will make you happy... discusting how they get away with that.
No doubt the people behing the scenes don't pratice what they preach as they obviously know the punters never win.
Hello all and thanks for your support on my diary.
Well I didn't spend on the slot machines at the coast.
The kids played the 2p pusher ones a while with their pennies but I was very determined I wouldn't play and thankfully I didn't.
I am keen to limit the amount the kids spend now and constantly remind them it's a waste of money even spending a few pounds on 2p machines. In the past I've probably encouraged them to play ! But this time I actively discouraged them and they spent the majority of their money on tangible things 🙂
Although my family really have no clue about my gambling problems and debt I've told them I no longer gamble including bingo. I've told them it's a waste of money. They are glad as they know I've always enjoyed gambling. They just don't know it was an issue for me.
Anyway I'm delighted I've entered the 100 club and finances are healthier. I've paid off my holiday and just spending money to save now. This has been budgeted for over the next few months. I can do this and still have what I consider a reasonable amount of money to spend each week. I still do a very detailed budget plan for each month and stick to it as much as possible. You could say I have too much of an interest in money. It's linked to my obsession and reasons for gambling. Now I spend a lot of time working out my budgets so I can account for every penny. I even have a budgeting app on my phone which I love using. I enter in every single expenditure including petrol shopping etc. I enjoy being in control of my money and can feel proud there's no allowance for the slot machines or bingo !!
Hi Clare,
Well done on reaching that 100 day milestone. Sorry I am a bit late with the congratulations but I am sure you are still celebrating!! So many diaries come & go ... They disappear after the novelty of gambling wears off. But not you. I see you with all the qualities needed to turn your back on slots forever. You are doing everything right. I hope that doesn't put pressure on you. You should be very proud of yourself and keep up the rewards. I am delighted every time I see someone discover life without the dreaded slots. Hope the sun stays shining for you - enjoy it all.
Take care,
Suzy
Thanks guys.
Been a busy week I've been away for a few days and then been busy at home.
Now on 108 days 🙂
113 days now but still get the urges to open a new site on my laptop. Yet another new laptop which doesn't have k9 and a new debit card today with security digits intact.
Need to sort out my triangle for that moment of weakness when i don't say no to gambling.
Smash that triangle up Clare & do it now! It's no coincidence that urges came knocking the day your card arrived...They identified a weakness! Go back & look @ where you were, you don't need me to tell you you can't go back now!
Keep fighting - ODAAT
I know I must get it done. I will... Temptation is there !
I've almost opened a new site a few times this past week. I blame all the adverts on TV. I always think to myself I could manage it properly this time and not let it become an issue.
Then the rational logical me screams why waste even a tenner ? the gambler in me says you could turn that £10 into £20 .. £50 or even £100 if you play wisely.
Can you believe somewhere inside I still believe I can use skill to win at gambling on computerised slots n online bingo.
I just need to get the blocking software in my laptop again.
Hi Claire,
Keep strong, and get those blocks in place, because we know that tenner would not lead to a 100 win , because we can't play wisely because once we start we can't stop.
You are doing great, don't let temptation win because you will undoubtably lose my friend.
Have a good strong day and keep safe and keep winning.
