Day 6, no FOBT, no scratchcard, no casino, no lottery, in fact the only thing I didn't remember to cut out was my postcode lottery ticket which I've decided to leave in place anyway as a lot of it goes to charity.
I did make one trip to the bookies as I had 3 tickets I had to pick up, picked up the £5 odd winnings and thought to myself, this is pretty usual actually, I usually put about £40 a day on and most the time win about a fiver! So that made me think even more I'm doing the right thing, the FOBT's actually had a queue waiting to play them!
I withdrew £100 last Friday from cashpoint, have been at work all week (been a tough work week) and amazingly, still have £70 left in my wallet! Can't remember the last time that happened. I'm not constantly checking my bank account to see how bad things are and I think this week I can make it through to Friday before the bank account gets a boost from my expenses from work, that's never happened before!
All in all feeling quite good about it this week.
Well done on the positive start, I'm currently on day 23 and things get better and better with each gamble free week.
Good luck on your recovery
