89 days free of gambling
19 days to go. 350 to pay off next payday.
704 pounds saved.
1168 paid off (long term debts)

Money +- in last 164 days = 1316

On the 12th day of Christmas a gamble free day gave to me a new suit worth 96 quid, not a top of the range suit but I have a few weddings coming up.

Today actually got my Christmas shopping done, well most of it. Didn't spend too much but feels good knowing that what I buy will not leave me short.

Thoroughly enjoyed yesterday as had friends round our house for a festive meal games and films.

Was great just having fun without the need for me to be glued to my phone. In fact had 9 people round and I don't recall many actually looking at their phone all night.

Quiet day in the office but no thought of gambling, keeping ear close to the news about this terrible hostage situation in Australia, feel for their families especially just before Christmas.

Thanks Suzanne and Martin, just had a reflective moment earlier while at my desk at work and thought why did I not go down this rout before, I feel the best I have in 3 years and yes although I'm not there yet I'm set up ready to enjoy next year.

On the 22nd day of Christmas a gamble free day gave to me, a new camera worth 176 quid. I already have one but a trade up and sell my old one or maybe a camera training course to use my current one to the best of its ability. It's something I really enjoyed but don't do it enough now, but with more free time.

So didn't check in yesterday as I was busy catching up with friends and at a lovely carol service at a pub was a great community spirit that I've not really seen before, probably as in past years I would rather stay in and gamble. Got me in the mood for Christmas.

1168 paid off (long term debts)
0 spent on gambling
Money +- in last 175 days = 1400

So happy waking up on day 100 but this is only the beginning. I re-read my letter I wrote to my parents and can see a totally different person now. I am enjoying life to the fullest and not being clouded in a mist.

Here's to the best Christmas and new year I've had for a long time. Looking forward to carrying on to 365 days and beyond.

On the 23rd day of Christmas a gamble free day gave to me. A gold sovereign coin worth circa 184 quid. Have been looking into this as a future way to invest as it's not easy cash to transfer and the value of this could well go up.

Hi Dan,

A big well done from me on the 100 days! I enjoy reading your diary and like your 'days of Christmas' idea - it's nice to see how your money can be spent on things that are so much better than gambling.

Enjoy your Christmas. You've built up solid foundations for 2015 and things can get better and better from here provided you avoid that next bet.
