Hi there 21246 , Thank you for your kind post last night It's really appreciated :)).

I don't think weve spoken yet which seems a bit strange , so apologies for not contacting you before .

I'd watched your diary a fair bit over the last couple of weeks and would like to firstly say huge congratulations on 3 weeks today it's always a struggle coming back from any sort of relapse but it can also change your mindset as well and that seems to be happening in your case , your definately that much more positive , also planning for a different future which sounds idyllic to be honest and I'm green with envy that you can achieve that but at the same time only wish you the best for you and your family .

Your'e also addressing some of the issues of your past which have probably been deeply buried for some time now , I was fortunate enough never to have experienced the things that have had such a deep impact on your life and am quite in awe of the way your pushing forward to hopefully put your demons to rest and you have my deepest respect .

You mentioned the " Blocks" in your post to me and I think initially they do apretty good job of at least making us feel safer when we arrive here , when things have got that bad that we come on here and tell our tale of woe , I think were just looking for something that will help imediately and those blocks are definately the answer . That being said as you know they can all be got around and you learn pretty quickly that unless there's some real change to your life and mindset their not going to keep you safe forever .

I think that's whats allowed me to stop this time , the total acceptance that gamblings beat me and I'm just going to let go of all the losses and let it win , It's funny but as soon as I arrived at that decision I had that " Eurika " moment and became pretty calm about the whole thing , were all different on here and I feel it's about tailoring things to suit you , as there's no one size fits all .

As for staying around here ? TBH I get just as much from it as hopefully those I post to do , I know exactly how I felt when I turned up here and if it wasn't for many of the long termers on here passing it forward I don't think it would have been as easy to remain gamble free and I will always be gratefull for their time and input :)).

I'm really pleased that your getting your head around things and that this time your not suffering to badly with urges , It shows that your making great progress in coming to terms with everything and making peace with yourself :)).

Ooo 21246pjc (that is terribly hard to abbreviate) I have often thought that about chat too, both fronts. I say often, perhaps the half a dozen times I have been on there don't qualify as often but I hear you. I haven't had a chance to drop in lately but I thought I might write out some of the ideas from the 'debating' thread to bring up should I find myself 'alone' again!

What I meant about the chat rooms improvement was. Maybe bringing in specific themed nights
Like one night being based around online slots.and so on
I think that way it would attract more people.
