Excellent news to read sars

Already looking at the next 50 🙂 keeping climbing that ladder mate, and complacency is the key word in all of this. We cannot just think that it's over, not for 1 minute of the day, as each day passes it's another step towards success. Just keep on doing what you're doing, think of your family, how much they mean to you and that in itself will keep you going.

How much has changed in 1 week. Before my fiancГ©e went away last weekend to visit family and clear her head of all this leaving me to have thoughts of 'its all over, I blown it' conversation were very little and an awkward atmosphere between us. I came home from work this week to a letter from her, I thought that was the final nail in the coffin tbh to tell me she couldn't do it. I was surprised to read that she was willing to give us a chance, with conditions which I have no problem at all with, I've done those or in process of those conditions. Today is the first time I have physically seen my lovely fiancГ©e and the mood and atmosphere between us is soo much happier, conversations flowing as we would normally. I'm absolutely on cloud 9 here at the moment, massive weight off my shoulders to be given this 1 chance to turn my life around. To beat this and to show her I don't need the gambling in my life., just her. But again i cannot afford to get complacent so sars, I'm taking my own advice here and think of her to help me on my success ladder

🙂

Day 51

First of all , I would like to thank everyone for the continuous support and advice . I would have not done this without all your kind words . I know I have reached the half a century mark but I'm still in the early stage of my recovery. My life has centainly changed for the better , in fact I'm starting a new small business to help with your finances rather than giving our money to the gambling lords ! Today I'm gamble free and I will try my hardest to stay the same for tomorrow !

AGAIN THANK YOU VERY MUCH EVERYONE !

Thanks for your support!

Our 50 day race was a draw so let's make it a bit more challenging - first to reach a year GF wins the Gamcare novice trophy?

Day 54

Last night i took my wife to the cinema to watch war for the planet of the apes and had an evening dinner out . We had a good time, it just shows how beautiful life can be without gambling . Today I decided to take an annual leave day to spend more time with my wife and little boy . Winning is done without putting any type of bet on any form of gambling . My life is starting to look much better already but I will stay focus to stay gamble free today and tomorrow .

@itmatters yeah buddy let's do it 😉 you're in for a treat haha. But I will be slow in our race as I will do it one day at a time . See you in the finish line .

@matt cheers brother , you're story is one of my inspiration why I'm here today . You've given me hope ! Thanks for the support .

Wishing you a great weekend Sars . Coming up to 60 Days GF . Great the way you have immersed yourself in recovery .

Working hard - quality time with your family - commitment to your gym programme ( don't neglect the stretching out and remember steroids are bad news ) physical and mental discipline - compassion and support to your friends in GamCare . Great stuff and a good example to others . Wishing you continued success and happy days ....stephen

Day 57

Mixed emotions strikes today ! Well I saw my friends post on FB about his gambling winnings including the photos of him winning a couple of grand betting hundreds of pounds on roulette table online . I thought I would be "lured" into trying my luck online but instead I felt instantly sick as imagining what could happen if I flush a big chunk of our hard earned money to the drain ! I didn't think I would be so scared and sensitive with gambling ! To top it up most of our FB friends made a comment on his gambling post saying " They will try their luck tonight". He should have shown two sides of gambling ! He should have said this is a one off ! This is not what gambling do for anyone who wants to earn money ! I know for the fact the he was struggling a couple of months ago .. typical gambler .. he only showed his winning but we all know it will be all gone , if not tonight maybe tomorrow . Rant over .

@Stephen thank you for regularly supporting me sir . I do respect you and all your points and I'm taking it on board . I hope you're doing great yourself and please keep inspiring us . " I would never take steroids as I'm a health care professional myself , again that's cheating and I would definitely get disowned by my family if I ever do that route " 🙂

have a great weekend everyone !

Hi Sars

the control and self awareness you now have should be commended, give yourself a pat on the back. Yeah we all know the short term buzz of a win and rejoicing in it but we also know the pain is ten fold when it all goes and more when we chase the losses.

False celebrations and praise. Stay strong mate your doing well.
