Day 65

Once again had an awesome day! After doing some overtime at work this morning, I took my 16 month old lilboy to shopping me so the wife can have a rest after her fight shift ! Today was the first time I we spend time outdoors with my boy without the wife ! That's what gambling free life does to you , time for the family and more money to spend for food shopping lol !

@Sharon thanks for always supporting me 🙂 yes keeping the guard up all the time is a good idea .

@laurainsky thank you for taking your time reading my diary 🙂 , I'm very happy that I've inspired you ! I hope my story helps you to recover . Welcome to gamcare ! Day 2 GF well done ! Keep up the good work , just take it one day at a time 🙂 time flies believe me ..

Day 65 good on you! You're welcome, always happy to see people enjoying a GF life. It is literally a whole new experience after being trapped in the gambling cycle. Here's to another GF week and many more S:)

Hi Sars,

Hi Sars . Pleased to see you doing so well and getting your life back on track . 68 Days GF is brilliant , not only are you not gambling but your replacing it with quality activities . Well done .

At the gym today but only splashing about in the pool , put weight on since stopping gambling so need to get myself fit again . Anyway starting tomorrow going in the gym to do a spell on the x trainer , rower and bike . That should help a bit if I do it a few times a week .

Getting older's no excuse anyway , theirs a guy at the gym 71 and as fit as a butchers dog .

Sometimes we can be our own worst enemy and let everything go to pot ..... Take care Sars ..... stephen

Day 70

I can't believe I'm still gambling free and I'm gonna keep on trying very hard to remain the same ! Feeling mentally exhausted today as I've been finishing a uni course whilst on a full time job . However , life with the family is freakinnnnnn awesomeee ! 🙂

@sharon again thank youuuuu !

@matt cheers bud ! Well done on your achievements too !

@stephen you're still a youngster sir and believe me the oldest patient I've treated is 113 years old 😉 . You're only half her age so yeah it's good to hit the gym and keep moving to stay fit and healthy. Thank you very much for your support ! Remember if it's not about the quantity but it's the quality !

Hi Sars . Your spot on their " If the bar ain't bending your only pretending " , relevant to everthing we do really and especially to our recovery .

Absolutely wonderful how you have stopped gambling but replaced it with all sorts of good stuff : Work , family , more commitment to your studies , exercise routine and last but not least helping your GamCare friends. Many thanks... stephen

Feeling really proud .

Our Sharon 's nearing 150 Days GF , due to arrive at midnight .

I would normally be snuggled up and fast asleep by than . But not tonight . Tonight at midnight I will be dancing around my living room to Queen singing " We are the champions " - Punching the air to end with a grand finale of 'Rock on Sharon ' .

With reference to your personal post about me on Phil 72's diary...let's start by being clear that you're not on my radar. I've never noticed any of your posts so I can't have had any direct dealings with you. I certainly have no prior opinion of you.

If you have a problem with a poster, which you clearly do with me and others, why not pluck up the courage to address that person directly? You write words, I might write words back. I'll rigourously debate an idea but I'm not interested in personal abuse.

As you state in your post, I and others are making you quite upset and it's clearly playing on your mind - will you have a pop? Yes I will. No actually I promise I won't. Oh 'fudge it' I can't help myself.

Why disparage 3rd parties on another's diary? Do you not think it's cowardice to make snide comments behind someone's back?

It's also tribalistic (and childish) to list A,B,C as 'good' and X,Y and Z as 'bad'. Clearly you feel the need to create your little GC group. Safety in numbers. Reassurance. The gang. Thanks for putting me in a tribe but I don't need it and I'll stick to reasoned debate thanks.

You're obviously b**t hurt by my post as you and your crew once attacked Phil a couple of months ago remember his post "moderation 2" and it got shut as it got a bit personal ! And once again I'm the second person to ban you on posting diary as you think you're god and all !respect people's recovery and opinion you can't just tell them what to do ! So yeah if you can't Handle a bit of bite back not my problem . " im sure your side kick will post here soon or somewhere to attack me too " what a sad life ! Just aim to help people to recover stop patronising !

'b**t hurt'? 'Crews'? Lol. Really?!

There's only one person here who's getting in a tiz. You disparaged me quite out of the blue. I'm just encouraging more direct contact. But if you can't hack it and want to 'ban' me, then OK.

If you've noticed, I like to quote the original post when replying to posts which are particularly *ahem* 'special'. Bugs me how posts get moderated and there's no trace ; )

BTW - you know that in trying to make a clever joke about an incomplete word, you kind of screwed up by spelling wrong. Kind of undermines your joke a bit
