So it's been a week & with an eagerly awaited review of the Carlsberg burger van, who am I to disappoint! Sadly by the time we worked up the courage to head back to the largest car park in the world, I had planned an evening meal of slowly rotting leftovers which wouldn't last another day & my friend doesn't eat! If a queue backing up out of the car park & halfway down the hill doesn't speak volumes, Trip Advisor does! Being that it is a van not a Michelin starred restaurant & since I don't have blue blood I wasn't quite as surprised as some of the reviewers to read that Mick's Monsters burger does not sell caviar or Mocha lotta cappuccino's, extra skinny of course, or whatever the in-drink is nowadays! Next time I find myself there however, I will be sampling the cuisine!

So despite a certain someone's misgivings, the buggy, with a little bit (hell who am I kidding, a lot) of back seat driving & some navigating (questionable @ times) safely negotiated the million mile tailbacks on the journey down! I have convinced myself that it was a practise run for our journey to Cornwall this Saturday but who am
I kidding...I won't be driving ergo I will be catching flies whilst the brats bicker over who's lap the dog is most on & the NM wakes me periodically to change the music! Wait, no, he won't even have to do that...I can just let one of them call shotgun 🙂
In a few short hours, I learned so much about my addiction that I wish I had the words to write it! The forum has been a tough place to visit lately with lapses & an ever growing number of posters on the Friends & Family section! I know it is inevitable in a place like this but I thank my lucky stars that so many of my cyber friends are pushing through everything the addiction can throw @ them & am grateful that people who have lapsed will not give up this fight! @ the start of my journey, I do not know if I would have had the strength to keep checking in but now I know that I cannot help anyone! I can however support people & hope that they can find their own way along this bumpy road!
The NM reminded me yesterday that "we were giving it a miss" & until last week, I was rather anxious as I don't want to make a big deal out of it with the brats! I now have a plan & if they want to push pennies until they can't get the smell out of their fingers then I will raise a smile @ the tut they get for their efforts! Also if madam does continue to show the sign that she is following in the footsteps of myself & my mother, I should know very early on & will start formulating a plan for the future! Until then, I will continue to worry about my todays - ODAAT

Thanks Junniee,

Have a lovely holiday down in Cornwall, it's a lovely part of the country, spent every bank holiday in Newquay as a child as my Dads sister lived there, so we went Easter, Whitsun, Summer, HDs and happy memories, thanks for reminding me 🙂

As for the kids, you are right to not worry too much about their future, but like me with my LM, we can't help but think, when they are playing on the 2p machines, but it can be positive because we are aware of this now.

Understand what you are saying about the forum lately and totally agree with you, it can make us feel negative at times lol.

Anyways you, have a great holiday and keep being you, taking one day at a time as always.

Apparently suffering no ill effects from my first Metafit session last night (unlike the journey home from it where I was so weak, I could hardly lift my water bottle, needed a stick to get to the car & wouldn't have said no to a driver) I sprang out of bed this morning raring to go! I am a little concerned about the memory of the Satanic gym instructor laughing to herself & saying how our bodies would really be thanking us for the session on Sunday morning but I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.

Shotgun rules abandoned, it was first come first served as with pain au choclit on the breakfast table, we were in danger of never leaving! So whilst I am safely ensconce on the back seat, (magnanimously in the seat with the leat leg room 😉 the dog is driving) the NM & both brats are frantically tearing round the house because the last man out bleaches the toilet & heavens forbid that's not me!
1 pillow, 1 fizzy drink & a bottle of bleugh each, next stop the pick & mix (1 mile)...Can't wait 🙂

See you all in a week (unless there's signal in Cornwall these days)!

Hey junniee,

All these measurements with metres is alien to me ( unless I ask Dr Google 😉 still do feet and inches and wait forthis, pounds and ounces ohh lol.HD .

Soo pleased you did not need Valium HD, and that you had a great time in the caravan (even if weather could have been kinder) after all it is the FRENCH Riveria ohh lol,

I just know you have now come home and that Mr Gamble is even further from your mind now, feels good doesn't it, oh yes it's so

good to know making that right choice to say NO every day, is getting easier to say, because the urges get less, and we do get stronger, but they do still come less frequently but can be ver strong, and out of the ordinary, and totally out of context with what our minds are thinking :).

Well done (my tall friend ohh 🙂

Blondieee xxx

(Couldn't message in Cornish lol, even Dr Google doesn't understand the yokel accent ) sos if anyone is Cornish, you have a lovely accent and your pasties and ice cream, never mind scenery are something to HD for xx

Hi June, glad to hear you had a good hol and you're back re- energerised and raring to go..no mention of returning twerk on Friday 🙁 ..and it's nice to know that "thinking out loud" is not just a Ginger trait 😉

I'll be tuning in tonight more out of curiosity than anything else Junie..just to see how much they can "spin" out of this so called pastime, I've earned the right to be bitter and it doesn't come cheap 🙁 ..and thanks for reminding me Juuuune I must catch up on Corrie..it's been a while, are Reg Holdsworth and Curly Watts still at Betta Buys? ;-))

keep ploughing through that calendar ODAAT that 365 is oh so near..OAU..Ginger x

Hi ODAAT just one drop by and and say thanks for the support you gave on my diary before I've been back on here recently trying to rejoin be an active on the forum as it helps and I just took a big step to exclude my debit card from the ATMs at the casinos around me so it will not work at them anymore. Just wanted to say hi and I appreciated your support before and I am back and you are an inspiration!
