Fair enough. Another quote from a recent meeting: "No" is a complete sentence.

All the best.

Hi ODATT,

Thanks for the kind words of support on my diary page. We are all CGs but everyone is different and so are the ways we go about our recoveries. This forum is like GA meetings, you take from it what you wish, relate to what you have experienced and take strength from others stories or support.

I got the email today from Admin to say my post had been removed! Little annoyed but I suppose I was in the wrong.

Tomorrows a new day and I know what I'm planning for before anything else, then yes, hopefully the sun will shine for a family day out.

All the best to you and thanks again.

Evening Mrs D, it's been a while...

I've been down @ the bolthole & slept a million trillion hours in the last few days. I'm fairly convinced it's not good for me doing my sleeping in bulk but I can kind of blame the sea air down there coz even the Mutt is out for the count every opportunity he gets. NM was moaning about not having a lie in 'ever' this morning when his 19th alarm went off @ 1000 hours & I insisted he get up coz we had to ship up & out to get up to Cardiff for his mate's wedding this weekend. Good job I did because despite Highways Agency warning us about 'congestion' between 22 & 21, we drove past an Ambulance, an undrivable Nissan Juke & a burnt out lorry on our travels & about 200 miles of rubber neckers on the opposite carriageway. I know, I'm exaggerating but under normal circumstances I, yes, even in my buggy, could have driven 200 miles in the time it took us to move about 3!!! The kennels waited for us to get there & the mutt was whisked off into doggy heaven without so much as a backwards glance. It's about 1/2 an hour away from here & surrounded by hills so if he's started howling yet I can't hear it & I'm not answering the phone if it rings 😉

We've been out for dinner (I didn't complain about the bill & no, not because he is paying, I may not be Dutch but I'm happy to pay my way these days), I ironed (can anyone tell me why every iron I have ever used spits water on the silk setting even when the steam is switched off?) a few extra creases into my dress & added some water marks for effect, had a luxurious soak in the bath, painted the crusty bits on the end of my feet, painted some of the bedclothes (oops, note to self, let housekeeping know 1st next time before using nail varnish remover), discovered I have no pj's (so dragged some yoga pants & NM's stinky tshirt on), caught the last 20 mins of chat & am settling down to my emails. It's 2309 & just like when I'm @ home, I'm wide awake...Could it really be the pollution? Or is it having lived on my own so long, I don't actually know how to co-habit yet? Or maybe finally having the chat about finances that has repeatedly been put off because the NM thinks I'm 'robbing' him of his right to own Jet Skis has helped settle my mind?

Either way, I'm calm & gamble free...I'll take it - ODAAT

I should be blogging! I would be if I could figure out a) how to get back into my blog & b) how to do a new post :-0

I've had 5 hrs 13 mins of sleep was only awake once, & restless 5 times totalling 13 minutes! This is pretty good for me & only about half an hour less than yesterday's concerted effort to sleep properly before earlies!
I didn't wake up as well this morning but I didn't expect to when the NM decided he needed to get up @ 0415. He doesn't have a *** of the word need & my day started with a massive sense of humour failure sometime close to his 1st alarm when the dog was tip tapping round the room & NM sounded like he was trying to sooth a baby as he suggested he get down stairs. I'm hoping my scream didn't wake the neighbours but there's a good possibility that it may have jolted a few awake (f*****g dog)! I'm not sure exactly how many days it's been since we decided that the empty Tv box, aka baby gate, needs to go across the stairs to prevent these shenanigans as we've been away but suffice to say, I don't think it's been a week yet!
There have been some major changes in the household lately, well, the NM has @ least pretended to understand the finances & has read a few letters & been offended on my behalf! All the science experiments have been removed from the fridge & replaced with staples (horseradish & mint jelly) to go with the IKEA lingon berry stuff that doubles up as jam or cranberry sauce & it is resplendent with Tupperware plus a long awaited chicken & brocolli pasta bake that needs about 30 mins in the oven!
Anyway, I digress, I eventually had a full sense of humour failure at about 0445 when the NM still wasn't up & I managed to drag myself out of the pit shortly after this & not flail round the house like a Tazmanian Devil on speed yelling @ him for being in my way (progress)!
I'm now on the train, a year older, no stalker (whoop whoop, it really is amazing what a difference that makes) having replied to my Sesuo, posted, read Sky news & now sat here catching you up dear Mrs D with the rantings of a crazy cat lady in the making as the train grumbles to a stop @ Euston, late again! I can in no way make up these lost 3 minutes which is 5 by the time the tube arrives so no point trying & to prove it, I'm not even walking up the escalator!
I feel strangely serene (I'lI take it) as I did yesterday as I worked (sat & polished my halo) through some office politics like I was nothing more than a fly on the wall! & am fully expecting to hear more about 'my new job' that the NM saw being re-advertised yesterday despite me hearing nothing from hr who assured me over a week ago that it was @ the paper sift stage! Whilst no news is good news, I was expecting to lose a hand in the process so I couldn't decide whether to laugh or cry yesterday when I spoke to the supervisor & was told that they had had to re-advertise due to lack of applicants! They ought to put 'us' in charge of the breweries, there'd be no alcoholics then!

P.s: No news on the new job front, it's still being advertised & to top it off, the stalker who shouldn't finish work until 7 (I am careful not to catch trains around that time) hunted me down on the 1605 (angry face)! No thoughts of gambling thankfully but I'm deffo much angrier than I was this morning 🙁

Had me worried when I read your morning post ODAAT, not like you to make it all the way to paragraph two before you start mentioning food!

Must be some sort of record.

How does writing about the "major changes in the household" descend into listing the contents of your fridge? d:-D

The word 'food' should be after 'my' and before 'diary' in the title of this thread - that title would make more sense.

That M&S chocolate chip shortbread does sound good. I was on the receiving end of some cutting-edge cake innovation myself recently. My girlfriend presented me with a Lemon Bakewell. Never seen one before, at first I thought it might of been homemade by my girlfriend, but then it tasted really good so I ruled that theory out.

Better than the more commonly spotted cherry variety IMO ODAAT.

Controversial.

Pleased to see you getting some sleep, better than it has been and wishing the sleep situation continues to improve for you. It's important.

Know how hard you work and how dedicated you are to your job. They would be fools not to give you that job.

All the best getting it.

You'll always properly succeed at anything you put your mind to.

And have.

This diary is evidence of that.

Brightest blessings

FMG Glint *<;-)

Diaries have to make sense?
Me sticking 800 notes trying to win 25 doesn't make sense either. Dan just doesn't like cross referencing when he's having a mooch.

As for the stalker. If you read the sky news article maybe an mi5 agent drenched in his own urine maybe?

Have a great birthday cheese cake and double cream hopefully?

I'm off to start another diary. Thanks dan
