Saying hi to all. Found day@atime's post on angel's diary interesting. thanks dan
schrodinger says hi. meow.
Have a super weekend. Busy myself. chores, keeping warm, birthday parties. Should be all fun today!!!
Sounds great , enjoy your weekend Tri :))
Hi Alan and anyone else reading this
It was commented on the chat that many members are not getting support on their diaries. I can say I understand this. it can get lonely if you are putting yourself out there and not getting any response. Its why I do try and support as many diaries as I can especially those who i feel are trying to support others too.
thanks Alan and others for your support. its very very much appreciated. tri
I understand the urge to want to have a few bets on the side or do "free'' bets as many see them
Do those who think they can't stop think they are worse than others? Maybe they are as its a progressive illness, but the question is are they accessing the right help to manage their illness or are they hoping to brush it all under the carpet?
I didn't honestly think I could stop when I came here Tri , It was something I'd hoped for but as it had never happened before I wasn't entirely convinced of the outcome , what made the difference this time was being honest with everyone around me and just as importantly myself , maybe " Honesty " was the right tool for the job for me ?.
Keep doing what's working Tri :))
Best wishes Buddy
Alan
Well done on your continued recovery triangle. A prime example if doing it right.
All the best

Morning Tri, how's the cat? I was thinking about your post about supporting people on their diaries. I've always been a bit reluctant to support people in the new members section...in fact I rarely read it. I remember when I first posted and Kelly and Suzanne by some miracle were around and reached out to me (something for which I'll always be grateful). But I also remember really needing them...I'd log on and hope they'd replied...and the thing is I know I can't commit to that. I'm not on here for long enough. I have days like today when I'm able to do lots of posting, but then there'll be days/weeks that I don't post at all. I don't want to offer support that I can't sustain if that makes sense. I also think that you connect with some and not others. Sports bets, fobts, horses? I can't offer advice on those as I haven't got a clue. I know the underlying feelings are the same but it still feels different.
Anyway, good to have u around offering your support to people 🙂

Accepting that I have an illness is the toughest part of this addiction. Denial is my number 1 starting point
Good to talk to those on the chat before.
thanks
The weekend has arrived!
Found this on page 4!! Been a few days since my last post. I've not been well. Had man flu but feeling a bit better now thanks
Its crazy that i still think of gambling when i'm dying. Makes no sense.
