Then you need to make sure it doesn't happen again Stephen , you have to take some responsibility for your ability to access all of your money at any given time , you just shouldn't be able to get your hands on it all at once ,Transfer some into an account you cant get quickly , you have to look for loopholes before you get money then go and close them tight , It's the old thing about " Locking the stable door after the Horse has bolted " .
Stephen you dont want to die. You just dont want to live the life you live. There has been a lot of advice given to you about stopping gambling saying that is what is making you unhappy. Gambling isnt your problem Stephen its your solution. Its a bad one as is suicide. Concentrate on your life & what you want to do with it & the gambling will take care of itself with not too much effort. Change you Stephen its the only thing that works long term
Thank you for your thoughtful words Stephen and I am determined to stay on this planet as long as possible. It must have been a real of a setback for you to admit your problem to someone and hand over your finances and then it is all put back on your shoulders. The idea of coming on here is to talk to people who have experienced such things and the majority of people on here will understand you. If you read the posts on here rejections and setbacks crop up in so many of the posts. This is not a problem you should face on your own so please at least keep talking on here. My one wish is that you read back all the supportive posts and advice on here. Listen to Alan's advice of approaching the bank for help with your card and I still urge you just to pick up the phone and talk to Gamcare for advice from them as well. Before you do any of that, Try and get something to eat, a good night's sleep, clear your head and make tomorrow Day 1 of getting rid of all these negative thoughts. Life is for living Stephen and nobody deserves to die before their time, and you especially do not deserve an ending like that. Now you must focus on getting help to manage the difficult situations and not let them make you fall into depths of despair every time.
Just read your journey Stephen, and understand you are in a bad place right now.
Sending you positive thoughts across the water.
Keep fighting mate - you can beat this, im on day 52 and the dark thoughts and sleepless nights are gone.........it really is a great feeling.
There are so many people wishing to support you right now, so pick yourself back up and start to take a first step again and we will all walk with you.
YOU CAN DO THIS STEPHEN.
Hi Stephen so sorry your in such a bad place I really relate ivwas suicidal when I first came on here properly. Stephen believe me when I say life is so much better not gambling even though I've got some family issues and debt etc it still is so much better hun I wish I'd done it before now I really do. There is fantastic advice and support on here hun and I agree totally you can do it! Stay safe Stephen Lu xx
Everyone on here is really rooting for you Stephen, you seem like a genuinely nice guy. You need some stuff to fill your time off, rather than just waiting for Monday....do you read? Such a cheap hobby. Without knowing what you do for a living, is there anything you can do at home that might help to progress your job/career? The gym is great, but what about jogging - outdoors, see more of the world, change of scenery.
All the best Stephen, think positive.
So im posting from the office.
No one else came in today. Im sitting in the big office on my own.
Woke up and walked in to the job. My mam was up but she went into her bedroom until i left, i know she was hiding from me because even the dog was trying to get out of the room.
So long walk meant long time to think. I can use what happened on Thursday as a starting point to help myself. The only way is up.
Or i can continue doing what im doing and be in the same position every month until im old and its too late to try.
Ive decided im going to use Thursday night as a learning curve/stepping stone whatever the right word for it is.
So the first thing involves me working hard in my job. Get along with everyone and if someone needs a hand be approachable and dont grumble under my breath.
The second thing im going to do is to go back to GA meetings. Ill go to one tomorrow fter work since im in town anyways.
My family dont like me, my mother doesnt speak to me and my dad doesnt recognise me when i bump into him. But i do have support.

Stephen
Good positive thoughts. Hope you have a relaxing weekend.
Stephen, so so pleased to read your post, I could jump for joy!!
Massive well done - yes you can help yourself, you have to help yourself but you don't have to do it all on your own.
If you go to GA you will get massive support and there are many people on here rooting for you.
We're all looking forward to reading your next post. You should be looking forward to a brighter future.
Sending you a bucketful of strength x
Stephen. A lovely positive post i wish you well
Well done Stephen. Thinking through the positive advise and deciding how to apply this in your life. I always found that a long walk was the best way to clear my head and consider the options. Often we need to put the positive thoughts into real terms by our actions and it sounds as if you want to better your work-life, becoming a better person in the process. When we challenge ourselves and achieve more we feel a sense of pride and accomplishment, which will help you NJ us keep the destructive gambling having firmly in the past.
It's very good to hear that you have a plan Stephen. While you're feeling stronger, do you feel you can make arrangements to get some support for your low mood? Doing that now could help you longer term.
Best wishes
