Thank a mil Joanna,
Your advise really makes sense and I will listen for sure in what you say. When I look back on my life I have probably been a CG for 20 years. Back then I thought it was the norm as many of my friends gambled. The only difference being is that I was slowly losing control were most of my friends had limits and knew when to stop!! It drives me mad thinking about this but as you say, I need to move on and get back in control of my future.
Thank you for posting
Jason
Day 22 feel better today and my wife has been truly a star! Thank you darling. Keeping strong and also keeping the demons away!!!
Day 23 and a day off work. Going to keep very busy and going to the gym later with my wife! Keeping strong and positive.
Hi Jason,

All the best on your road to recovery.
Wolfgang

Joanna
Day 24 and feeling good. Joined a gym last night with my wife which will be a very good thing. Spending time together and getting fit at the same time. No thoughts and no demons today and if so I shall say, stay away....
God I would much rather be in the gym than in a place full of loosers!!!!
Day 25 at work and feeling good. Think I will go yo the gym later and have a work out! Keeping positive and getting fit!! So far so good but as we all know it's a long road ahead.
Day 26 just had a swim and a run with my soul mate and feel good. Onwards and upwards.
Stay strong everyone...
Day 28 had a few urges but staying strong and keeping busy! I really do just want to have a life without gambling and lies, this illness has really changed me as a person and I want the real me back Big time...
Day 29. The thought of what I have done over 20 years or so really does get me down! I need to find a way of just forgetting the passed and all the money wasted and think of what my wife and I can do in the future. It will probably be when I am 47 that I will be completly free of debt.
So the next 3 years I am going to get my head down, pay the debts and not have a bet. Let's face it, I have not won in 20 years because I can't as I don't know how to stop or should that be didn't know how to stop????
Keeping strong and moving along...
Day 30. Keep head down and keep strong!!
Day 31 keeping on and trying to get to the gym 4 days a week! I find keeping busy one of the best ways of keeping those demons away.
Day 33 had a few thoughts of gambling but not going down that route! I have to take one day at a time and when I have been gamble free for 4 months I will take my wife out for tea.
Day 34. Had a busy day helping my brother in law gardening. No thoughts today and no voices tempting me to have a bet!!! Got to keep going, I know I can do it.....
Day 35. Day of feeling so guilty of what I have done. I am finding it really hard to move on at the moment, if anyone has any advise please post.
Affected by gambling?
