19 days free of gambling

88 days to go (625 to pay off before Nov.)

152 pounds saved.

390 paid off (long term debts)

0 spent on gambling

Money +- in last 99 days = +756

Shattered after a good night out last night. Not much energy to do anything, but no gambling or accumulators on the footy just watch and enjoy. Have used my wildcard in the fantasy football so expecting to actually do well for a change.

Well I've got further than my last relapse which is always nice and have all blocks in place and money in bank for me not to panic. Off to play footy now and see my gran who I haven't had chance to see in a while. Next weekend on 27 days free I'll post an update on how the music is playing in my head, will also be moving closer to a whole month free and soon to be a very nice payday when I can pay off a lot of debt.

21 days free of gambling

86 days to go (625 to pay off before Nov.)

168 pounds saved.

390 paid off (long term debts)

0 spent on gambling

Money +- in last 101 days = +772

So a day off work but lots of studying to do so early check in. I think I must be getting better as I get so annoyed at the amount of betting in our faces during football matches and seeing new companies popping up is even worse as they are ones I have not blocked myself from. May be worth setting up an account and then permanently blocking myself so I am not tempted.

22 days free of gambling

85 days to go (525 to pay off before Nov.) - 100 paid off

176 pounds saved.

390 paid off (long term debts)

0 spent on gambling

Money +- in last 102 days = +780

So actually had a few gambling thoughts on my day off yesterday, first time in a while, quickly put them to bed by moving 100 quid of my money to pay off a bit of my credit card debts.

Have been watching obese - a year to save my life and find it truly inspirational, in a way the struggle they have is very similar to ours and it got me thinking that there should be a programme about gambling. Who knows if I get over this I could be the host and teach people from what I've learned. Anyway I'm rambling. Back to work.

Great game of footy lat night and a night just chilling watching TV starting to get hooked on a few series which helps keep mind occupied. Work today going very quick, more study tonight. Bit of food shopping to do but can afford it so that will be nice.

So I've changed the name of my diary as I read this quote and think it's bloody great. It's not actually even Friday yet but will be very busy fri and Sat so may as well check in for both to see where I'm up to. Great run today and finally topped the king of mountain for a section, also really good climbing session which at 10 quid a go is now not seeming so expensive as I enjoy it a lot more than gambling.

10k obstacle race on sat think I'm ready for it but looking forward to the challenge anyway 🙂 also a round of golf and a few drinks with friends, how a weekend should be not staring at a screen and seeing my money fall away.

Have a great weekend guys. Catch you late on Sunday.

27 days free of gambling

216 pounds saved.

390 paid off (long term debts)

0 spent on gambling

Shattered, thoroughly enjoyed the men's health run, actually almost 12k not the 10k I was told. Finished in the top 10% so all the extra free time I've not spent gambling and training instead paid off. Best bit was actually swimming in the river Trent, just these random things you don't usually do that just make you feel so alive. Not going to lie though it was very cold and I was so glad to get to the other side and get out.

Resting all this afternoon watch a bit of tv. Life music update next week really too tired to even start to do that now.

Morning, so 4 weeks clean and feeling good. Day off work to study again, really need to get my head down as last Monday I pretty much wasted it.

Payday only a week and a bit away and still money in my bank. Looking forward to getting to that.

Don't know why but been really up and down recently, sort of starting to want my recovery quicker than its taking. But understand it's not going to be quick. Yesterday was really boring sat on my own all day trying to study and your mind does all sort of what if thinking. Hoping today at work will be good and I can get my spirits back tonight.

So last night was much better had a good tidy up for my housemate in the kitchen which she was grateful for and that sort of gave my mind a rest. Enjoyed the apprentice last night but went to bed far too early. Hope that will lead to good work today.

31 days free of gambling

So over the past few weeks I haven't even had any thoughts of gambling. Not even a twitch and thinking of checking the odds. My friends have been on about accumulators and I just say I won't win on them so not bothered or maybe I'll have one in a few weeks. And then I can always lie to them say I had one and just missed out. They aren't to know I'm staying away as I know once I start I will not stop. It is the same pattern everytime. I have a small bet, don't win then want to win that money back.

Anyway enough ramblings had plenty of sleep last night which I needed and ready to work hard today.

Thanks rst,

You are doing great too.

You are sooo right what is the point as we cannot stop, as long as we remember that, it keeps us strong, the longer we abstain and fight off the urges the stronger and wiser we get.

Keep going.
