So 22 days down. Feeling a bit more positive. Off on holiday tomorrow for a week and booked next years holiday in Italy that will only happen if I don't gamble. Will be back next week which will be over 4 weeks. Not an amazing achievement but a good start. The self exclusion and financial openness has helped. Hope everyone is ok. Doggy

33 days now. Moving along nicely with some blocks in place and the wife watching my credit cards. Feeling calmer but definately missing the feeling of winning when it happens and the wad of cash that I would only ever spend on gambling mostly! Not missing the gut wrenching sleepless nights after a huge loss (2500 was my last go on the slots!!! Crazy!). Best wishes to everyone and take care. Will keep posting with the days clocking up! Doggy.

Congratualtions on 33 days doggy. I've just read through your diary. Many ups and downs. But how good does it feel to be in the middle of a long period of abstinance? Far better than the raw, numb feeling of disgust.

That's how I'm feeling today after losing £200 on the FOBT's. To go with another £600 over the last few weeks? Sick isn't it!?

I'm not particularly well off either and I'm a single home owner.

Keep up the great work buddy. I hope to be with you all the way.

Well, 33 days behind.... 🙂

Hi mate thanks for posting, and well done on doing so well!! you've made the right steps and your reaping the rewards, im getting to that point where i dont want to gamble anymore, my last gamble was around 3 weeks ago, i still should get new cards and get that number off the back , it worked really well previously. Holiday went well, the week befor e it was a disaster crashed car, doing go thru insurance spent money getitng it fixed on hol and my last gambling spree, oven packed in as well, i my last drink was Monday which i was got pretty wasted and acted a t**t again, i plan on getting to AA meeting tonight, im also lifting money tomorrow at work and leaving my cards at work, though i dont drink i wont gamble! funny how addiction plays with your brain, watched a certain bookmakers this morning on tv i laughed when they were concerned about problematic gamblers in june i went in spent a fortune horses fobts and told the girl i had problems and told her i was previously self excluded and yet this CONCERNED company still allowed me to carry on gambling, would have loved to phone into bbc1 this morning and spoke to the CEO, i also hear another company is getting sued 8.5 million , happy days is what i say, the governement needs to take action, but like booze and smokes they make so much money from it , why would they even care about GC!!!!! take care

Hi. Still here after one blip but nothing awful, a new arcade opened in town. Now excluded. Nothing online and glad to be out of the madness of all that. Got an issue at the moment. Brother is gambler and has a problem, he won 30k this week but asked me to change his password so he cannot gamble it and withdraw his max amount daily. Said I'd do this but those gambling thoughts are returning, I am sort of envious and sort of not as he is unable to share this win as cannot tell the rest of his family!! I won't gamble but this is a test for me. Hoping everyone is well. Doggy.
